The rules for playing.

Tabby Trails is free to play in your browser. By playing it you agree to these rules. If you are young, a parent or guardian agrees to them for you, so read them together.

Be kind to other cats

• Only share an invite with people you know. Anyone with your world's invite can come in while you're playing.
• Only give a postcard's link to people you know. Anyone with the link can play it and see your cat's name.
• Don't wreck a friend's world, take what isn't yours, or try to upset anyone.
• Pick names for your cat, your worlds and your postcards that you'd be happy for anyone to see.

Don't break the game for everyone

• Don't try to get into worlds you weren't invited to, guess invites or other players' secret words, or pretend to be another player.
• Don't use tools that change the game to spoil it for others, or flood our server with requests.
• Found a bug that lets someone do any of that? Please tell us (below) and don't use it.

If someone breaks these rules we may stop them playing with friends, or remove what they saved on our server.

Your worlds

The worlds you make are yours to play. We keep copies of them on our server as the privacy page says, and we work hard not to lose them. But the game is still being built, so we can't promise a world will always be there. To keep your own copy, use EXPORT in the list of worlds: it saves a world as a file you can open again with IMPORT.

The game itself

The game, its art, music, words and code belong to Tabby Trails. You may play it, but not copy it, put it up on another website, change it, or sell it, without asking us in writing first.

You're welcome to make videos, streams, screenshots and fan art of you playing, and to share them, including on channels that earn money.

What we promise, and what we can't

The game is free, and it is given as it is. It may have bugs, change, be offline for a while, or one day stop. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for anything lost because of that, and our promises about the game go no further than what this page says. Nothing here takes away a right the law gives you that can't be taken away.

If these change

If we change these rules, the game's news will say so, and the new rules apply from then on. These rules are under the laws of California, USA.
